Seiko Automatic Lady – Ref. 2205-0390 • Caliber 2205 • Production: March 1971

This elegant Seiko ladies' automatic watch was manufactured in March 1971 , confirmed by serial number 131508. Reference 2205-0390 is one of the early versions of the 2205 series and already clearly demonstrates the new design language that Seiko established in the early 1970s: integrated metal bracelets, geometric case shapes, and technically sophisticated compact movements.

The silver-grey, horizontally brushed dial combines clean lines with a functional 1970s look. The angular hour markers, slim hands, and red-framed date window create a functional, almost architectural overall impression. The original, integrated, and screwed Seiko stainless steel bracelet is a particular highlight, as it fits the case shape perfectly and is difficult to replace.

Background to the model

The 2205 series was Seiko's technically leading automatic watch series for women in the early 1970s. Key features of this design phase:
