Original Seiko Balance Staff (テン真 / Balance Staff) from unused old stock (NOS) for the Seiko “Solar” (ソーラー) – Caliber family 5S. A single piece is offered, taken from an original “SEIKO WATCH PARTS” package (“12 pcs.”).

The balance staff is one of the central and most stressed components of the movement: It carries the balance wheel with hairspring, and its fine pivots run in the (cap) jewels. A broken or worn balance staff is a common reason for overhaul – original NOS staffs are therefore particularly sought after.

Model compatibility: According to the watchmaker's note on the original collection box, the same balance staff is also used for the Seiko "Venus" (mechanical ladies' model of the 1960s/70s) and the Lady (Seiko). Seiko often used common parts for its small or ladies' calibers – the staff is therefore suitable for several of these models (please compare measurements before installation).

Important note on model designation: "Solar" refers to the mechanical vintage Seiko "Solar" from the 1950s/1960s (caliber 5S) – not a modern, light-powered solar watch.

The part is unused; due to storage, minor, purely cosmetic traces are possible, which do not impair the function.

Note on assignment: Before installation, please compare the staff dimensions (pivot diameter, overall height, plate/roller seat) with the required balance staff or caliber.

Warranty (used) This is an original part (NOS) stored for decades. The limitation period for claims for defects (statutory warranty) is 12 months from delivery.
