Repair & Restoration by specialized watchmakers in Japan
This is our special offer: your Japanese watch will be cared for where these watches are at home. At the heart of our Japan Repair & Restoration Service are specialized watchmakers in Japan – with the knowledge, parts, and experience for Japanese watches of all brands and eras: from Seiko, Grand Seiko, Citizen, and Orient to collector's classics like Ricoh or Takano.
For every watch, we select the appropriate specialist workshop: our partners in Japan handle demanding overhauls and restorations, while smaller tasks are carried out by our watchmaker in Germany who specializes in Japanese timepieces. This ensures every watch gets exactly the hands it needs.
We bundle all orders into three to four Japan trips per year and personally hand the watches over to our watchmakers – no overseas shipping. Watches received by us before the submission deadline will be included in the next trip.
Why this service is special
- Access to specialized Japanese watchmakers – expertise for Japanese watches directly from the source.
- Personal handover instead of overseas shipping – we bring your watch to Japan and back ourselves.
- Professional parts, even for older and rare models.
- Genuine restoration instead of simple parts replacement – with respect for patina and originality.
- Transparent communication throughout the entire process – no work performed without your approval.
Services & Fixed Prices
All prices are fixed prices incl. 19% VAT and do not include spare parts – any necessary parts will be transparently listed in the estimate beforehand. The estimate fee of €49 will be fully credited if the order is placed within 30 days.
