Seiko Lord Matic Special 5206-6020 – Daini Seikosha (October 1970)

Seiko Lord Matic Special 5206-6020 – Daini Seikosha (October 1970)

Fully serviced in September 2025

The Seiko Lord Matic Special 5206-6020 is one of the most technically advanced models in the Lord Matic series and was manufactured by Daini Seikosha in Tokyo in October 1970.
It belongs to the upscale Lord Matic Special series, which was designed as a bridge between the regular Lord Matic models and the Grand Seiko line.

Equipped with the caliber 5206A, a hi-beat automatic movement with 28,800 vibrations per hour, it combines the convenience of an automatic winding system with the option of manual winding as well as a hacking seconds function. This movement is considered one of the most precise automatic movements ever produced by Daini Seikosha.

The stainless steel case features the characteristic flowing lines of the early 1970s, while the silver sunburst dial with sharp indices and fine Dauphine hands conveys a timeless elegance.

The watch was fully disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and regulated in Japan in September 2025. It runs stably and precisely, and the date changes accurately at midnight.

Note on the Crown

As is typical for many Lord Matic models with the 5206 caliber, the manual winding via the crown feels noticeably stiffer than on modern watches. This is due to the very delicate crown and the design of the movement – the winding mechanism here is not designed for smooth operation. Our watchmaker has tested the watch: the movement, winding mechanism, and crown are technically flawless; this is a known characteristic of this series, not a defect. In everyday use, the rotor winds the watch automatically while worn – thus, manual winding via the crown is limited to the few turns needed to start the watch after it has been sitting for a long period.

Warranty (used)
This is a used item. The limitation period for claims for defects (statutory warranty) is 12 months from delivery.

Note
As this is a used watch, no water resistance can be guaranteed. To protect the movement, the watch should not come into contact with water or moisture.
