Seiko Prospex Samurai "Save the Ocean" Special Edition SRPD23K1 – Automatic Diver's 200 m, pre-owned, box & warranty card (blank)

The blue Samurai from Seiko’s 2019 "Save the Ocean" series: wave dial with a subtle shark fin, two-tone blue-grey bezel, caliber 4R35. Pre-owned in good condition, crystal flawless, comes with original box and warranty card.

The Samurai is one of the most distinctive cases in the Prospex collection: angular, sharply defined, with the sword-shaped hands that earned it its nickname. In the 2019 "Save the Ocean" version, it features a deep blue dial with an embossed wave pattern, in which a great white shark's dorsal fin is hidden—an allusion to the collaboration with Fabien Cousteau, a portion of the proceeds from which went to marine conservation. The bezel is split between blue and grey and rotates unidirectionally; the hands and indices feature LumiBrite.

Inside beats Seiko’s automatic caliber 4R35 with manual winding and hacking seconds. The screw-down crown and screw-in case back are factory-rated for 200 m water resistance according to ISO diver's watch standards (see note below). The case back is engraved with "Special Edition" and the "Save the Ocean" motif.

Condition

Pre-owned, in good condition. The case and bracelet show micro-swirls and small scratches typical of a worn diver's watch. The Hardlex crystal is flawless; the bezel and dial are in perfect condition. The movement runs very well, checked by us (+10 s/day, amplitude 297°).
