Historical background
The "Seiko Unique" model was created during the early stages of the reconstruction of the Japanese watch industry after World War II. It marks Seiko's transition from purely functional models to more elegant dress watches. With its proprietary Diashock system, Seiko positioned itself technically on par with European brands like Longines and Certina.
State of preservation
Original, unrestored dial with characteristic age patina. Hands and indices in very good original condition, case with slight signs of wear, case back cleanly stamped with serial number and Seiko logo.
