About Vario
Vario is an independent watch brand from Singapore, founded in 2016, specializing in vintage-inspired watches and accessories. With meticulous attention to detail and a sense of style and individuality, Vario creates timepieces that combine design, quality, and personality – always produced in small batches and with character.
What began as a search for the perfect watch strap became a mission: to create timelessly beautiful watches that are affordable yet still have that certain something. Each model is carefully designed and tested in Singapore—and some models are even manufactured in Japan to guarantee the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Vario stands for individuality, passion and the love for the small, subtle differences.
The History of the Vario 1918 Trench Watch
When the First World War began in 1914, soldiers quickly reached the practical limits of their pocket watches: They were difficult to use, fragile, and difficult to read at night. The solution emerged in the trenches: the wristwatch. Initially derided as a feminine accessory, it soon became an indispensable military watch: with Arabic numerals, shatterproof glass, and luminous hands.

The Vario 1918 Trench Watch is a modern reinterpretation of the classic trench watches from the First World War – with authentic design features and high-quality materials for today's everyday use.
The case made of marine-grade stainless steel 316L , the distinctive reinforced wire lugs , a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and 100 Water resistance ensures robustness and everyday suitability. The enamel dial and non-radioactive C3 luminous material stylishly reference the historical model. Inside, a reliable Japanese Miyota 82S5 automatic movement with manual winding, stop-seconds function, gold-plated decoration, and over 40 hours of power reserve.
