ALBA EPSILON (Seiko) ASSD069 – Replacement Bracelet Link Titanium – 1 Piece / Single Link incl. Connecting Pin – NOS with Original Tags

Original replacement link for the ALBA EPSILON (イプシロン) bracelet, reference ASSD069, from new old stock (NOS), with the two original tags (of the complete watch).

ALBA is the secondary brand managed by the Seiko Group for the Japanese domestic market; the tags explicitly name the Seiko Watch Corporation (セイコーウオッチ株式会社) as the issuer. The EPSILON was technically remarkably equipped: The promotional tag identifies it as a solar watch – 電池交換不要, meaning no battery change required – in a titanium design (チタン) with 10 bar water resistance and Seiko's LumiBrite (ルミブライト) luminous material.

Titanium is the critical characteristic for a replacement link. It weighs about 40 percent less than stainless steel, is skin-friendly, and shows a characteristic duller, slightly grayish color. This is precisely why a missing titanium link cannot be replaced by a steel link: The color difference is immediately noticeable on the wrist, and the extra weight is perceptible on an otherwise light band. Since the reference has not been produced for years, original links are only available from remaining stock.

Replacement links are the crucial wear-and-tear and loss part for metal bracelets. Anyone who wants to extend a shortened band again – when reselling, after a change in weight, or because the watch changes owner – regularly faces the problem that the links that were removed at the time can no longer be found. The two necessary connecting pins are included in this offer; they do not therefore need to be acquired separately.

The tag allows for a temporal classification: The stated ratio of net to gross price corresponds to a consumption tax of 5 percent, which was in effect in Japan from April 1997 to March 2014.

The link and pins are unused. Due to storage, at most minor, purely cosmetic traces are possible, which do not impair the function.

Note on assignment: The reference comes from the original tags. Since bands of the same design were used across several references, the link may also fit identical bands of other ALBA models. Please compare the band width, link length, and connection type with your own band before purchasing – ideally using a photo of the inside of the band.

Manufacturer: Seiko Watch Corporation, Japan (Brand ALBA).
