ANEX No.210 Power Tweezers 120 mm, SUS410 Hardened Steel with Grip Zone | Made in Japan (Tsubame-Sanjo)
ANEX No.210 Power Tweezers 120 mm, SUS410 Hardened Steel with Grip Zone | Made in Japan (Tsubame-Sanjo)
Original precision tool from ANEX from Sanjo (Niigata), imported directly from Japan – not regularly available in Europe.
The No.210 is the robust grip shape in the ANEX tweezers range – and its material is a deliberate choice: SUS410 is a hardenable stainless steel that produces significantly harder and more wear-resistant tips than the usual soft tweezer steels. The tips retain their shape and alignment even with strong grip – where soft tweezers would twist or jump.
The ribbed grip zone provides a secure hold and fine control at the same time; the compact length of 120 mm keeps the tool agile. Typical uses: tensioning spring bars, guiding strap links and pins, holding case parts – the daily heavy-duty tasks for which you would not want to strain delicate Dumont tips.
What distinguishes this tool from European counterparts:
European watchmaker's tweezers almost exclusively rely on non-magnetic but soft steels – ideal for the most delicate movement work, but prone to wear during heavy-duty tasks. Japanese workshop practice consistently separates these: hard SUS410 tweezers for heavy-duty gripping, fine tweezers for movement work. The No.210 is the heavy-duty part of this system, manufactured in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan's traditional forging region – a tool type that is simply missing in European watch retail. A note for professional use: As a hardenable steel, SUS410 is magnetizable – for work directly on the mechanical movement (balance wheel, hairspring), non-magnetic tweezers like our ANEX No.222 made of brass belong on the workbench; the No.210 is the tool for straps, cases, and heavy-duty gripping.
