ANEX No.222 Brass Tweezers 140 mm, Anti-magnetic – Scratch-resistant for Batteries and Movement Parts | Made in Japan (Tsubame-Sanjo)
ANEX No.222 Brass Tweezers 140 mm, Anti-magnetic – Scratch-resistant for Batteries and Movement Parts | Made in Japan (Tsubame-Sanjo)
Original precision tool from ANEX from Sanjo (Niigata), imported directly from Japan – not regularly available in Europe.
The No.222 is a straight tweezer made of solid brass – and brass is a deliberately chosen material in the watch environment with three advantages: it is completely anti-magnetic (no danger to hairspring and movement), significantly softer than steel (hardened movement parts and battery contacts are not scratched) and electrically forgiving when handling button cells. In watch workshops, brass tweezers are therefore the classic choice for battery changes and handling steel parts whose surfaces need to be protected.
The tweezers are manufactured in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan's traditional tool region, with the precision in tip closure typical for ANEX.
What distinguishes this tool from European counterparts:
Hardly any dealer in Europe carries brass tweezers – steel (scratches and magnetizes) or plastic (imprecise) are common. The traditional Japanese workshop solution of brass combines the precision of metal with the gentleness of plastic. For anyone who regularly changes batteries or works on vintage movements with sensitive surfaces, it is the professional third option – at the price of a standard tweezer.
