The No.88-W is the classic tool for changing straps: the fork side grips and compresses spring bars at the lug, while the fine pin side pushes out spring bars through lug holes and guides strap pins. This means one tool covers both designs – classic lugs with open spring bar guides as well as modern cases with side holes.
ANEX manufactures the tool in Tsubame-Sanjo with a cleanly ground fork – the point where cheap strap changers fail: a burred or too thick fork slips off the spring bar shoulder and leaves scratches on the lug.

The European standard is the Bergeon 6767 – a good tool at a proud price. The ANEX No.88-W offers the same dual function with Japanese manufacturing quality at half the price.
