On the original label, the part is designated as "パッキング(クッション)" (Cushion Packing) and, according to the manufacturer, is maintenance-free – no oiling required (注油不要 / "no oiling required"); in the Boley parts list, it is listed as a case back gasket ("ground packing").

This gasket is listed for Citizen case reference 4-722388, among others (possibly also suitable for other references). It seals the case back and is essential for restoring the original water resistance.

The part is unused and ideal for the professional overhaul of classic Citizen watches, for which suitable original gaskets are now difficult to obtain.
