The Dream Watch – Black Moon is a tribute to Japanese craftsmanship – a timepiece like a shadow on the lunar surface. The dial is entirely handcrafted and features a deep black, finely textured Urushi pattern reminiscent of stardust. This deep black dial is framed by a highly polished black stainless steel case , giving the watch an elegant, almost floating presence.

The dial is crafted by master watchmaker Yoko Hirota on Kyushu, the southernmost main island of Japan. Two rare lacquering techniques are used:
– Kushime (櫛目) – a traditional comb pattern from ceramic art
– Tsuishitsu Nuri (堆漆塗) – an elaborate layered lacquer that combines urushi with egg white (ranpaku).

The production of a single dial takes at least three, often four to six months . During this time, the lacquer is built up in dozens of layers, dried, processed, and in a final step brought to its characteristic structure using the finest grinding tools.

The result is a minimalist, almost meditative design – completely without a date display – that combines depth, movement and Japanese aesthetics in one watch.

Urushi dials are handmade: color and texture vary slightly – each piece is unique.
– To protect the Urushi surface, avoid direct contact with water, chemicals, cosmetics, strong heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
– The elaborate production of each dial requires a great deal of time and experience – each piece is the result of months of handwork.
