With the AirField, Formex translates its proprietary field platform into the world of aviation. Instead of recreating a classic pilot's watch, the watch adopts the principles that have made pilot's watches functional from the start: instant legibility, robustness, low weight, and the omission of everything superfluous. The result sits deliberately between categories – robust enough for a true field watch, clearly influenced by aviation, and versatile enough for everyday wear.

A cockpit instrument on your wrist

The dial is completely new. Wide, sword-shaped hour and minute hands give the display a strong presence, while the triangle flanked by two dots at 12 o'clock makes the top of the watch instantly recognizable. The long, slender seconds hand features an airplane-shaped counterweight – a detail only discovered upon closer inspection. The surface is finely grained and embossed, with the Arabic numerals recessed and individually filled by hand with Super-LumiNova BGW9. An inclined rehaut rises towards the sapphire crystal, creating depth at the edge of the dial without increasing the watch's height.

A blue like the horizon

Horizon Blue is the most versatile version in the collection. The blue is rich and slightly graduated, appearing significantly brighter in sunlight than indoors, while remaining clearly legible at all times thanks to the white luminous numerals. The date disc in the beveled Formex date window at 6 o'clock is color-matched to the dial, keeping the overall appearance clean and balanced.

Titanium, hardened to 900 Vickers

The 40 mm case is made of Grade 2 titanium and weighs only 54 grams including the movement. A special surface hardening treatment brings it to around 900 Vickers – approximately five times that of conventional stainless steel. Featuring a screw-down crown, 150 meters of water resistance, and a solid case back engraved with a classic radial engine and propeller.

Sellita SW200-2 Power+

Inside beats the updated Sellita SW200-2 Power+ with a 65-hour power reserve, replacing the previous 41-hour reserve. This means the watch can be left off over an entire weekend and continue running, without the need to reset the time and date.

Bolgheri leather strap with carbon folding clasp

This version comes with a Bolgheri leather strap and the patented Formex carbon fiber folding clasp. The stepless fine adjustment of 7 mm allows for fit adjustments throughout the day without needing to change strap holes or remove the watch. The strap can be changed without tools via quick-release spring bars, and the lug width is 20 mm – meaning the lightweight nylon Velcro straps from the Field collection are also compatible.
