With the AirField, Formex transfers its own Field platform into the world of aviation. Rather than recreating a classic pilot's watch, the timepiece embraces the principles that made pilot's watches functional from the beginning: instant legibility, robustness, low weight, and the elimination of the superfluous. The result intentionally sits between categories—rugged enough for a true field watch, clearly influenced by aviation, and versatile enough for everyday wear.

Cockpit instrument on the wrist

The dial is completely new. Wide, sword-shaped hour and minute hands give the display a strong presence, while the triangle flanked by two dots at 12 o'clock makes the orientation immediately recognizable. The long, slender second hand features an airplane-shaped counterweight—a detail discovered only at second glance. The surface is finely grained and embossed, with the Arabic numerals recessed and individually hand-filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9. A sloped rehaut rises toward the sapphire crystal, creating depth at the dial's edge without increasing the watch's height.

Jet black and high-contrast

The Jet Black dial is the highest-contrast variant in the collection. White luminous numerals on a deep black background, complemented by a color-matched date wheel in the beveled Formex date window at 6 o'clock, whose angled construction improves legibility from various viewing angles.

Titanium, hardened to 900 Vickers

The 40 mm case is made of Grade 2 titanium and weighs just 54 grams, including the movement. A special surface hardening brings it to around 900 Vickers—about five times that of conventional stainless steel. It features a screw-down crown, 150 meters of water resistance, and a classic radial engine with a propeller on the solid case back.

Sellita SW200-2 Power+

Inside ticks the upgraded Sellita SW200-2 Power+, offering a 65-hour power reserve instead of the previous 41 hours. The watch can thus be left aside for an entire weekend and will continue running afterwards, without the need to reset the time and date.

Bolgheri leather strap with carbon folding clasp

This version is supplied with the Bolgheri leather strap and the patented Formex carbon fiber folding clasp. The stepless fine adjustment of 7 mm adapts the fit throughout the day without having to select a different strap hole or remove the watch. The strap can be changed without tools via quick release; the lug width is 20 mm, meaning the lightweight nylon Velcro straps from the Field collection are also compatible.
