With the AirField, Formex brings its proprietary Field platform into the world of aviation. Rather than recreating a classic pilot's watch, the timepiece embraces the principles that made pilot's watches functional from the start: instant legibility, robustness, low weight, and the omission of everything superfluous. The result intentionally sits between categories – robust enough for a true field watch, clearly influenced by aviation, and versatile enough for everyday wear.

The dial is completely new. Wide, sword-shaped hour and minute hands give the display a strong presence, while the triangle flanked by two dots at 12 o'clock makes the orientation immediately recognizable. The long, slender second hand features an aircraft-shaped counterweight – a detail only discovered upon closer inspection. The surface is finely grained and embossed, the Arabic numerals are recessed and individually filled by hand with Super-LumiNova BGW9. An angled rehaut rises toward the sapphire crystal, creating depth at the edge of the dial without increasing the watch's height.

Gray on gray, with a red accent

Tarmac Grey is the most understated variant of the collection and also the most technical. The gray dial plays with the sandblasted titanium of the case, while the minute track and lettering contrast in black. The black second hand features a red tip – the only splash of color on the watch. The date wheel is color-matched to the dial and sits in the beveled Formex date window at 6 o'clock.

Titanium, hardened to 900 Vickers

The 40 mm case is made of Grade 2 titanium and weighs just 54 grams, including the movement. A special surface hardening process brings it to approximately 900 Vickers – about five times that of conventional stainless steel. It features a screw-down crown, 150 meters of water resistance, and a solid case back engraved with a classic radial engine and propeller.

Sellita SW200-2 Power+

Inside beats the upgraded Sellita SW200-2 Power+, offering a 65-hour power reserve instead of the previous 41 hours. The watch can be left over an entire weekend and will still be running afterward, without needing to reset the time and date.

Bolgheri leather strap with carbon folding clasp

This version comes with the Bolgheri leather strap and the patented Formex carbon fiber folding clasp. The stepless fine adjustment of 7 mm allows the fit to be adapted throughout the day without choosing a different strap hole or taking the watch off. The strap change is tool-free via quick-release, and the lug width is 20 mm – meaning the lightweight nylon Velcro straps of the Field collection also fit.
