Formex Essence FortyOne Automatic Chronometer "Malachite" 41 mm

The Formex Essence FortyOne Automatic Chronometer “Malachite” is the first Essence 41 to feature a genuine natural stone dial. Each dial is cut from solid malachite and bears its own unique pattern of bands, swirls, and gradients – from vibrant green to almost black. No two dials are alike: Every watch is one of a kind.

The stone is ground into a thin disc before the dial components are assembled by hand. Applied indices with mirror-polished facets provide a precise contrast to the organic structure of the malachite; BGW9 Super‑LumiNova on the hands and indices ensures clear readability in the dark.

Note: The Malachite is limited to a production run of 120 pieces for 2026. Since each dial features a natural pattern, every watch will differ from the images shown.

Movement – COSC-certified Chronometer

Inside beats the Swiss‑made Sellita SW200‑2 Power+ caliber in the highest grade (Chronometer grade) with a 65-hour power reserve, improved winding efficiency, and shock resistance. It features a Glucydur balance wheel and is individually certified by the COSC in a 15-day test; each movement carries an engraved certificate number. Formex finishes it with its in-house skeletonized rotor and thermally blued screws – visible through the sapphire exhibition case back.

Case – 41 mm with Case Suspension System

The 41 mm stainless steel 316L case combines presence with everyday practicality: vertically brushed surfaces and hand-applied mirror-polished facets flow seamlessly from the bezel across the case into the bracelet. The screw-down crown ensures 100 m of water resistance, and the patented Case Suspension System with four integrated springs between the upper and lower case absorbs shocks and adapts to the movement of the wrist. With a height of 10.6 mm and a lug-to-lug of 46.5 mm, it wears comfortably on many wrists.

Bracelet – Stainless steel with butterfly clasp

The stainless steel bracelet with screwed links features Formex’s patented butterfly folding clasp with micro-adjustment in 0, 3, and 6 mm positions – on the wrist, without opening the clasp. Thanks to the quick-release system, the bracelet can be changed without tools; all Essence 41 straps made of nylon, leather, and rubber, as well as the carbon fiber folding clasp, are compatible (available as options).
