The Essence Leggera is an ultra-light, cutting-edge Swiss-made sports watch made from a carbon fiber composite developed by Formex. The case weighs only 50 g and has a silky-matte surface texture. The bezel and crown are made of particularly scratch-resistant zirconium oxide ceramic.

At the specified price, the watch comes with a black Italian calfskin strap with blue contrast stitching. The 22 mm wide strap features curved spring bars, a quick-release system, and the patented Formex carbon composite deployant clasp with 7 mm micro-adjustment.

Patented technologies such as the fine-tuning system and the Formex case suspension ensure high wearing comfort and make the Essence Leggera one of the lightest and at the same time most robust watches in its class.

Movement

Inside, a Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement in chronometer grade is at work. Each movement undergoes the official 15-day COSC test and receives an individual chronometer number.

The Glucydur balance wheel, thermally blued screws, and the skeletonized rotor specially manufactured for Formex emphasize the high-quality execution. The power reserve is 41 hours.

Formex additionally checks the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Dial

The Essence Leggera collection includes various in-house manufactured dials with different surfaces:

• Forged Carbon with individual carbon pattern
• Arctic White and Mamba Green with CNC-milled horizontal Essence lines
• Electric Blue with intense sunburst finish
• Cool Grey with glossy cement look

Hands and applied indices have highly polished facets. Deeply recessed BGW9 Super-LumiNova Grade A ensures a strong blue glow in the dark.

Leather Strap and Carbon Composite Deployant Clasp

The black Italian calfskin strap included in the scope of delivery is equipped with blue contrast stitching and is matched to the sporty design of the Essence Leggera.

The curved 22 mm spring bars ensure a harmonious transition between the case and the strap. Thanks to the quick-release system, the leather strap can be removed from the watch in a few seconds without tools.

The patented Formex carbon fiber composite deployant clasp allows for stepless micro-adjustment over a range of 7 mm. The adjustment can be made directly on the wrist and compensates for changes in wrist circumference throughout the day.

Patented Case Suspension System

The patented Formex case suspension protects the movement from shocks and at the same time increases wearing comfort.

Four springs between the upper and lower case absorb loads and allow flexible movement of the case on the wrist.

Carbon Fiber Composite and High-Tech Ceramic

The deep black color of the case comes from the carbon fiber composite itself and not from a subsequent DLC or PVD coating.

The zirconium oxide ceramic of the bezel and crown is particularly scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and age-resistant.

Officially Certified Chronometer

Each movement is tested by COSC and receives an individual chronometer number. Formex additionally checks the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.
