Formex REEF 39.5mm Automatic COSC 300M "Forged Carbon"

The Reef 39.5mm Forged Carbon expands the collection with a striking material variant: forged carbon for the dial and bezel meets a robust stainless steel case and Formex's patented fine-adjustment system. The watch is supplied at the specified price on a stainless steel bracelet with a quick-release system and integrated fine adjustment.

The dial is created under heat and pressure from compressed carbon and displays a natural, varied structure, making each piece unique. Depending on the light, the color nuances and texture change, reminiscent of the flowing movement of water. The beveled date window at 6 o'clock, a characteristic Formex design element, harmoniously integrates into the overall appearance.

The forged carbon bezel follows the same design philosophy. Its engravings are executed with a high-precision laser and then hand-filled with Grade A BGW9 Super-LumiNova to ensure optimal readability in low light conditions. The bezel is unidirectional, features 120 precise clicks, and can be removed and replaced without tools.

Despite its robust features, the Reef 39.5mm remains remarkably compact. With a height of only 11 mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 45.5 mm, it offers balanced wearability. A water resistance of 300 meters, the screw-down crown, and the COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 with a 56-hour power reserve make it a full-fledged dive watch.

The included stainless steel bracelet features screw-down links, a quick-release system, and an integrated fine adjustment. Other strap variations, including rubber straps with a Formex carbon fiber composite folding clasp, are optionally available and are not part of this offer.

Unidirectional rotating bezel made of forged carbon

The bezel made of forged carbon displays a unique, organic surface. Each piece has an individual pattern. The engravings are precisely executed by laser and then hand-filled with Grade A BGW9 Super-LumiNova.

Serrated grooves on the edge ensure a secure grip, even with wet hands or gloves. The 120-click mechanism works precisely and allows for exact setting of dive time. The bezel can be removed without tools and replaced with other separately available variants from the Reef collection.

Officially Certified Chronometer

Inside works the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement in chronometer grade. The Glucydur balance offers high hardness, stability, antimagnetism, and corrosion resistance. The slim movement allows for the low overall height of only 11 mm.

The custom-made, skeletonized Formex rotor with blued screws efficiently winds the movement. Each movement is tested by COSC, undergoes the 15-day chronometer test, and receives an individual chronometer number. Formex re-tests each movement after assembly according to comparable criteria to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Stainless steel bracelet with fine adjustment

The included stainless steel bracelet has screw-down links and can be removed from the watch without tools thanks to its quick-release system.

The integrated stainless steel fine adjustment system allows for comfortable adjustment of the strap length. This enables the fit to be adapted to changes in wrist circumference throughout the day.

Optionally available carbon fiber folding clasp

For separately available rubber straps, Formex offers a patented folding clasp made of carbon fiber composite. This allows for stepless fine adjustment of the strap length by 7 mm without having to remove the watch from the wrist.

The rubber strap and carbon fiber folding clasp are not included in the scope of delivery of this offer and can be purchased separately as an option.

Forged Carbon – Material with Character

Forged carbon is created under heat and pressure from compressed carbon fibers and exhibits an organic, irregular structure. Unlike woven carbon, the pattern does not repeat but rather arises from controlled randomness. The result is a surface with optical depth, movement, and individual character.

The beveled date window at 6 o'clock with a color-matched date wheel harmoniously integrates into the dial. Triangular, angled gunmetal-colored indices reinforce the spatial effect. Vertically brushed hands and indices with polished facets ensure clear readability. All corresponding elements are coated with BGW9 Super-LumiNova and glow intensely blue.
