Formex REEF 39.5mm Automatic COSC 300M "Radiant Bronze"

The Reef 39.5 mm Radiant Bronze is a special edition featuring a vertically brushed dial made of genuine bronze, which changes its character depending on the light incidence. A special lacquer coating prevents natural oxidation and permanently preserves the radiant bronze shine.

At the specified price, the watch is delivered exclusively with a black rubber strap in 22 mm width, a quick-change system, and a Formex carbon fiber composite deployant clasp with a patented fine-adjustment system.

The watch features the characteristic elements of the Reef collection, including the proprietary system for tool-free bezel and strap changes within seconds.

The compact 39.5 mm stainless steel case is designed as a full-fledged dive watch and is powered by a COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement. The flat and precise caliber allows for an overall height of only 11 mm, making the Reef versatile for wear beyond sporting activities.

The double gasket construction ensures a tested water resistance of 300 meters or 1,000 feet.

Design and Character

The vertically brushed bronze dial is the result of extensive development work at Formex's in-house dial manufacturing facility in the Swiss Jura.

Depending on the light incidence, the dial's effect changes from a warm gold tone to deep bronze. A special protective lacquer coating prevents natural oxidation and preserves the original color and characteristic luster.

The triangular, hand-applied rehaut indices mimic a chapter ring and enhance the optical depth of the dial.

The wide hour and minute hands as well as the indices combine brushed surfaces with polished bevels. The double-beveled date window blends harmoniously into the overall picture due to the color-matched date disc.

Hands, indices, and the bezel's zero marker are deeply filled with Swiss BGW9 Super-LumiNova and glow intensely blue in the dark.

COSC-Certified Automatic Movement

The Reef 39.5 mm is powered by the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement, officially certified by COSC.

The movement, of chronometer quality, features a Glucydur balance, characterized by high hardness, stability, as well as anti-magnetic and corrosion-resistant properties.

The flat construction of the movement allows for the watch's low overall height of only 11 mm. The custom-made and skeletonized Formex rotor was specially developed for this model.

Each movement undergoes the official 15-day chronometer test and receives an individual certificate number. Formex additionally checks the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Rubber Strap and Wearing Comfort

The included black rubber strap has a lug width of 22 mm and is equipped with curved spring bars. This creates a harmonious transition between the case and the strap.

Thanks to the quick-change system, the rubber strap can be removed from the watch within seconds without tools.

The included Formex carbon fiber composite deployant clasp features a patented fine-adjustment system. The strap length can be adjusted directly on the wrist to compensate for changes in wrist circumference throughout the day.

The carbon fiber deployant clasp combines light weight with high resistance and complements the sporty-technical character of the Reef.
