With its tool-free interchangeable bezels and straps, the Formex Reef 39.5 mm is one of the most versatile mechanical dive watches on the market. The compact, hand-finished 39.5 mm stainless steel case houses an officially certified Swiss chronometer movement with a 56-hour power reserve.

At the stated price, the watch is delivered exclusively with the Formex stainless steel bracelet featuring screw-down links, a quick-release system, and integrated fine adjustment. Optional rubber straps and other strap variants are not included.

The 39.5mm case features functional crown protection and a harmoniously symmetrical design. The compact diameter allows for a comfortably short lug-to-lug measurement of 45.5 mm and a slim height of just 11 mm. The double gasket construction is designed for water resistance up to 300 meters or 1,000 feet.

Polished chamfers and brushed surfaces on the case, stainless steel bracelet, hands, and triangular indices create a balanced interplay of elegance and sporty character.

Design and Character

The available dials are manufactured in Formex's in-house factory in the Swiss Jura. The blue, green, and silver variants feature a sunburst finish with a hand-sprayed dégradé color gradient.

The white dial achieves exceptional optical depth through multiple layers of transparent lacquer on a polished base. Triangular, applied indices imitate a chapter ring and enhance the spatial effect without increasing the overall height of the watch.

Vertically brushed surfaces and polished chamfers echo the finishing of the case. The double-bevelled date window integrates harmoniously into the dial due to the color-matched date wheel.

Hands, indices, and the zero marker on the bezel are generously filled with Swiss BGW9 Super-LumiNova and glow intensely blue in the dark.

COSC-certified automatic movement

The Reef 39.5 mm is powered by the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement, officially certified by COSC.

The chronometer-grade movement features a Glucydur balance, characterized by high hardness, stability, as well as anti-magnetic and corrosion-resistant properties. The slim construction of the caliber enables the watch's low overall height of just 11 mm.

The custom-made, skeletonized Formex rotor was specially developed for the Reef. Each movement undergoes the official 15-day chronometer test and receives an individual certificate number. Formex also inspects the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Stainless steel bracelet and wearing comfort

The included stainless steel bracelet features screw-down links, a quick-release system, and integrated fine adjustment.

The fine adjustment allows for comfortable adjustment of the strap length to changes in wrist circumference throughout the day. Thanks to the quick-release system, the stainless steel bracelet can be removed from the watch in a few seconds without tools.

Optional straps available

Other strap variants are available separately for the Reef 39.5 mm, including:

Tool-free interchangeable bezel
