Formex REEF 42 Automatic COSC 300M "Blue" 42mm

The Formex Reef is a modern stainless steel diver's watch, powered by a COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement of the highest quality grade. The flat and highly precise caliber allows for a case height of only 11.4 mm. Due to its special construction, the watch appears sporty and pleasantly flat on the wrist, with a perceived height of approximately 9.4 mm.

At the stated price, the watch is delivered exclusively with the Formex stainless steel bracelet featuring screwed links, a quick-release system, and integrated fine adjustment. Optionally available rubber straps and other bracelet variants are not included.

The double sealing construction ensures a tested water resistance of 300 meters or 1,000 feet, making the Reef a reliable companion for sporting activities and demanding dives.

Design and Character

The unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel is one of the Reef's most striking features. It is made of particularly hard and scratch-resistant zirconium oxide ceramic.

Scales and numerals are engraved three-dimensionally with femtosecond laser pulses. The processing of a single bezel takes approximately 60 minutes. The toothed grip profile provides secure hold even with wet hands or gloves.

The precise 120-click mechanism allows for exact adjustment of the dive time. The bezel can be removed without tools and replaced with other compatible variants from the Reef collection.

The sunburst dial is manufactured in Formex's in-house factory in the Swiss Jura. The hand-sprayed dégradé color gradient gives it depth and a changing character depending on the light.

Triangular, applied rehaut indices and broad hands with polished and brushed bevels ensure clear readability. Hands, indices, and the zero marker on the bezel are generously filled with Swiss BGW9 Super-LumiNova and glow intensely blue in the dark.

COSC-Certified Automatic Movement

Inside, the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement operates with a power reserve of 56 hours.

Formex uses the Chronometer quality grade with a Glucydur balance wheel. This is characterized by high hardness, stability, as well as antimagnetic and corrosion-resistant properties.

The movement is decorated and wound by a specially developed, skeletonized Formex rotor. Each movement undergoes the official COSC chronometer test and receives an individual chronometer number.

Formex additionally checks the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Stainless Steel Bracelet and Wearing Comfort

The included Formex stainless steel bracelet features screwed links, a quick-release system, and a finely adjustable clasp.

The integrated fine adjustment system allows for comfortable adaptation of the bracelet length to changes in wrist circumference throughout the day.

Thanks to the quick-release system, the stainless steel bracelet can be removed from the watch within seconds without tools.

A black rubber strap with the following features is separately available for the Formex Reef:
