Formex REEF 42 Automatic COSC 300M "Silver" 42mm

The Formex Reef is a modern stainless steel diver's watch, powered by a COSC-certified Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement of the highest quality. The slim and precise caliber allows for a case height of just 11.4 mm. Thanks to its special construction, the watch feels sporty and pleasantly flat on the wrist with a perceived height of approximately 9.4 mm.

At the specified price, the watch is supplied exclusively with the Formex stainless steel bracelet, featuring screw-in links, a quick-release system, and integrated fine adjustment. Optional rubber straps and other bracelet variations are not included.

The double sealing construction ensures a tested water resistance of 300 meters or 1,000 feet, making the Reef a reliable companion for sports activities and demanding dives.

Design and Character

The unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel is one of the most striking elements of the Reef. It is made of particularly hard and scratch-resistant zirconium oxide ceramic.

Scales and numerals are three-dimensionally engraved with femto-laser pulses. The processing of a single bezel takes about 60 minutes. The toothed grip profile offers a secure hold even with wet hands or gloves.

The precise 120-click mechanism allows for exact setting of the dive time. The bezel can be removed without tools and exchanged for other compatible variants from the Reef collection.

The sunray dial is manufactured in Formex's in-house factory in the Swiss Jura. The hand-sprayed dégradé color gradient gives it depth and a character that changes with the incidence of light.

Triangular, applied rehaut indices and wide hands with polished and brushed bevels ensure clear readability. Hands, indices, and the zero marker on the bezel are generously filled with Swiss BGW9 Super-LumiNova and glow intensely blue in the dark. Good readability is particularly crucial during diving.

COSC-certified automatic movement

Inside, the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement works with a power reserve of 56 hours.

Formex uses the Chronometer quality level with a Glucydur balance. This is characterized by high hardness, stability, as well as anti-magnetic and corrosion-resistant properties.

The movement is decorated and is wound by a specially developed, skeletonized Formex rotor. Each movement undergoes the official COSC chronometer test and receives an individual chronometer number.

Formex additionally checks the movement after assembly to ensure high precision of the fully assembled watch.

Stainless steel bracelet and wearing comfort

The included Formex stainless steel bracelet features screw-in links, a quick-release system, and a clasp with integrated fine adjustment.

The fine adjustment system allows for comfortable adjustment of the strap length to changes in wrist circumference throughout the day.

Thanks to the quick-release system, the stainless steel bracelet can be removed from the watch in a few seconds without tools.

Optional rubber strap available

A black rubber strap with the following features is available separately for the Formex Reef:
