INDEN est. 1582 is the oldest manufacturer of Koshu Inden – lacquered deerskin from Kofu, Japan. For over 400 years, soft deerskin has been finished with Japanese lacquer, a technique originally used for samurai armor and equipment. Today, it is used to create elegant everyday accessories that combine traditional Japanese patterns with modern design.
INDEN 2Way Bag “New Grecian” – BR x WH
The 2Way Bag “New Grecian” is a minimalist, lightweight bag that combines everyday practicality with a touch of Japanese elegance. It's large enough for the essentials – smartphone, wallet, keys, small notebook – while remaining slim and pleasantly light. This makes it suitable for both the office and a relaxed stroll around town.
Thanks to the detachable shoulder strap with metal fittings, the bag can be worn in two ways: crossbody or over the shoulder for maximum freedom of movement – or without the strap, classically as a handbag. This allows it to adapt flexibly to different occasions and outfits.
The New Grecian version is crafted from greige-colored deerskin and finished using the INDEN Sarasa technique. The hand-drawn-looking white pattern with subtle gray lacquered dots lends the design a luxurious, slightly preppy feel – especially in the BR x WH (brown x white) colorway. A bag that combines Japanese craftsmanship, functionality, and stylish understatement.
