JIOS “SEIRAN” - Biwako Blue x silver hands x steel bracelet

The Japanese watch brand JIOS was founded in Ishiyama, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of Japanese watchmaking. The brand's goal is to promote high quality and Japanese craftsmanship worldwide.
All components are 100% made in Japan, including the leather straps.

JIOS ' first model , the "SEIRAN," impresses with its refined, classic design, exuding style and elegance on the wrist. The watch combines Roman numerals with bar indices, ensuring optimal legibility. A date display enhances its everyday usability, while the guilloché dial, with its fine texture, is suitable for a variety of occasions – from business meetings to dinner.

With the Biwako Blue color variant, JIOS expands its first model, SEIRAN, with a particularly fresh and meaningful version. The clear, light blue tone is inspired by Lake Biwa (Japanese: Biwako ) in Shiga Prefecture – the largest freshwater lake in Japan. Locally, the color is considered the "color of happiness" and symbolizes tranquility, clarity, and positive energy.

While similar shades are often referred to internationally as "Ice Blue," JIOS deliberately chose the name Biwako Blue to emphasize its regional origin and cultural significance. The aim is to contribute to the visibility of this region and to share its identity with the world through watch design.

The finely guilloché dial lends depth and elegance to the blue hue. Silver hands and Roman numerals, combined with subtle baton indices, create a classic and highly legible design. The date display blends harmoniously into the overall aesthetic. Three-dimensional indices prevent a flat appearance and underscore the watch's high-quality character.

The 38 mm stainless steel case offers a balanced presence on the wrist, making the SEIRAN versatile enough for everyday wear as well as in a business setting. Inside, the reliable Japanese automatic movement Citizen Miyota 8215 with manual winding and hacking seconds keeps time. The movement remains visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

The five-link stainless steel bracelet gives the watch a particularly high-quality, present appearance and can be easily combined with almost any style.
