This rare JR (East Japan Railway Company) pocket watch was issued in 2007 as a special prize during the Shinkansen Stamp Rally to commemorate the 20th anniversary of JR's founding . It was not available for purchase and was exclusively awarded to participants of the anniversary event.
The reverse side shows an engraving with the inscription
「ＪＲ東日本発足20周年記念 新幹線スタンプラリー」
as well as depictions of several iconic Shinkansen trains. This makes it a unique memento of the history of Japanese high-speed rail.
