Kentex was founded in Tokyo in 1989 and is one of the few Japanese manufacturers allowed to produce official watches for the Japanese Armed Forces ( Japan Self-Defense Forces – JSDF ). The JMSDF series is produced specifically for members of the Japanese Navy and is characterized by reliability, precision and unobtrusive design. These models are popular in Japan, but are not officially exported – consequently, their collector value outside Japan is high.
