The KNIS GMT Automatic Diver Purple combines classic diver design with a mechanical GMT function and a dial that becomes particularly interesting precisely because of its apparent simplicity. Instead of an elaborate pattern, KNIS relies on a finely brushed hairline finish for this model, whose metallic structure changes constantly depending on the incidence of light.

The KN007-PP also features an unusual purple color scheme. The result is a sporty GMT watch that stands out significantly from the mass of classic black and blue divers without losing its functional character.

With a 40 mm diameter, a mechanical Seiko GMT movement, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, and 200 meters of water resistance, KNIS combines extensive features with a classic and everyday wearable size.

Hairline Dial – A Surface That Plays With Light

The dial is one of the special details of the regular KNIS GMT Automatic Diver.

Its finely brushed hairline structure creates a metallic surface whose effect changes depending on light and viewing angle. The fine lines create different reflections and give the dial additional depth without over-cluttering the clear, functional appearance of a diver's watch.

At the same time, the hairline finish reduces distracting reflections, thereby aiding readability.

In the Purple version, this finish achieves a particularly distinctive effect, making the KN007-PP one of the more unusual color variants in the model series.

Classic Diver with Mechanical GMT Function

The design is based on classic diver's watches but is complemented by an additional GMT function by KNIS.

A separate GMT hand allows for reading a second time zone at a glance. This makes the watch suitable not only for everyday use but also for travel or for anyone who regularly needs to keep an eye on an additional time zone.

Large, three-dimensionally designed hands and indices ensure clear readability. For darkness and poor lighting conditions, they are equipped with Swiss Super-LumiNova®.

Seiko TMI NH34A Automatic GMT

Inside, the proven Seiko TMI NH34A automatic GMT movement operates.

In addition to automatic winding, the movement can also be wound manually. A second stop or hacking function allows for precise time setting.

The power reserve is approximately 41 hours.

Thus, the KNIS GMT Automatic Diver combines the classic mechanics of an automatic watch with the practical benefit of a second time zone.

200 Meters Water Resistant

KNIS has not only visually based the GMT Automatic Diver on classic diver's watches but also constructed it accordingly robustly.

A screw-down crown, a screw-down case back, and water resistance of 200 meters or 20 ATM make the watch suitable for more demanding everyday situations.

According to the manufacturer, the watch can be worn while swimming and snorkeling, among other activities.

Sapphire Crystal and Ceramic Bezel

Above the dial sits resilient sapphire crystal, characterized by its high scratch resistance and excellent transparency.

KNIS also uses a high-quality material for the bezel: the insert is made of ceramic. This material is resistant to scratches, UV radiation, and water, thus maintaining its surface and color effect in the long term.

Balanced 40 Millimeters

With a case diameter of 40 mm, the KNIS strikes a balanced middle ground between the presence of a classic diver's watch and an everyday wearable size.

The case measures 47 mm lug-to-lug and is 13 mm high. This means the watch remains within comparatively classic dimensions despite its robust construction and 200 meters of water resistance.

Solid Stainless Steel Bracelet

Case and bracelet are made of 316L stainless steel.

The solid stainless steel bracelet is fastened with a solid stainless steel push-button deployant clasp. According to KNIS, the clasp is precision-machined from a solid block of metal, offering a significantly higher quality construction than simply stamped clasps.

With the stainless steel bracelet mounted, the total weight is approximately 160 grams. The watch is designed for wrists up to approximately 21 cm in circumference.

Made in Japan

Even with the regular GMT Automatic Diver, KNIS places importance on manufacturing in Japan. The watch is assembled in Japan and designated as "Made in Japan".
