The KNIS Meteorite GMT Automatic Diver Black is a watch whose actual highlight is many millions of years older than the watch itself. Its dial is made from genuine Muonionalusta meteorite – an extraordinary material that originated in space and was found on Earth after its journey through the cosmos.
The meteorite's characteristic Widmanstätten pattern was formed by the extremely slow cooling of the material over millions of years. This natural crystal structure cannot be artificially reproduced. No two pieces of meteorite are exactly alike – and thus, every single KNIS Meteorite GMT has its very own unique pattern.

In the KN007-MT, this extraordinary material meets the black version of the classically inspired GMT Diver. The dark color scheme gives the model a discreet, striking character and particularly highlights the individual structure of the meteorite.

Genuine Muonionalusta Meteorite – Every Dial Unique

KNIS uses genuine Muonionalusta meteorite for the dial. This rare meteorite material was discovered within the Arctic Circle and is particularly sought after for high-quality watch dials due to its striking Widmanstätten pattern.

This is not a printed or artificially created structure. The visible crystalline patterns are part of the meteorite itself and were formed during its extremely slow cooling over a period of millions of years.

As a result, every dial is individual. Lines, surfaces, and structures differ from watch to watch – making every KNIS Meteorite GMT a true one-of-a-kind.

The Black GMT Version

The KN007-MT is the black variant of the KNIS Meteorite GMT Automatic Diver. It combines the extraordinary meteorite dial with the sporty design of a classically inspired Diver and a mechanical GMT function.

With a diameter of 40 mm, 47 mm lug-to-lug, and a height of 13 mm, the stainless steel case remains well-proportioned despite its robust construction. Three-dimensional hands and indices ensure clear legibility and underscore the watch's distinctive character.

For visibility in the dark, the hands and indices are coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova®.

Mechanical GMT for Travel and Everyday Life

Inside, the proven Seiko TMI NH34A automatic GMT movement operates.

A separate GMT hand allows you to read a second time zone at a glance – a practical function for travel, international contacts, or simply for anyone who wants to combine classic mechanical watchmaking with additional functionality.

The NH34A features automatic and manual winding, a hacking seconds function for precise time setting, and offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.

200 Meters Water Resistant

The Meteorite GMT is not just about its extraordinary appearance. KNIS has designed it as a robust watch for everyday life, travel, and water activities.

A screwed crown, a screwed case back, and water resistance of 200 meters or 20 ATM ensure its suitability for everyday use.

According to the manufacturer, this means the watch is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, among other activities.

Sapphire Crystal and Ceramic Bezel

The meteorite dial is protected by sapphire crystal. This resistant material is characterized by its high scratch resistance and very good transparency.

KNIS also uses ceramic for the bezel. The material is resistant to scratches, UV radiation, and water, thus retaining its surface and color effect in the long term.

Solid Stainless Steel Bracelet

The case and bracelet are made of 316L stainless steel. KNIS also avoids a simple stamped construction for the clasp.

A solid push-button folding clasp made of stainless steel is used, which, according to the manufacturer, is precision-crafted from a solid block of metal. This ensures a solid, durable construction and a correspondingly high-quality feel.

With the stainless steel bracelet, the watch weighs approximately 160 grams and is designed for wrists up to approximately 21 cm in circumference.

Made in Japan

The origin is also part of the KNIS Meteorite GMT concept: The watch is assembled in Japan and designated as "Made in Japan".

Thus, KNIS combines an extraordinary natural material with Japanese manufacturing, classic Diver design, and a proven mechanical GMT caliber.
