KURETAKE – Colors with a history since 1902

KURETAKE ART NOUVEAU COLOR INK – PERKIN MAUVE
The Art Nouveau Color Ink series is inspired by the color lithographs of the era when poster art and color prints became a new, popular art form. Kuretake has taken six characteristic trend colors of this time and reinterpreted them as high-quality inks for fountain pens and glass pens.
Perkin Mauve is a historic mauve shade that gained immense popularity in the 19th century – thanks in part to a dress worn by Queen Victoria. Numerous posters of the time depicted women in this new fashion color. It was based on the world's first synthetic dye, developed by William Perkin. On paper, Perkin Mauve appears elegant and slightly nostalgic, making it ideal for notes, journaling, and creative projects with a vintage feel.
