Kuretake Kindai Maki-e - Edazakura
The Kuretake Kindai Maki-e series expresses the fascinating world of Japanese symbolism, culture, and nature in a modern way. The "Edazakura" (枝桜 – cherry blossom branch) model depicts delicately blossoming cherry branches – a symbol of transience, beauty, and hope deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
Inspired by 17th-century Rimpa painting, the floral elements are applied using the Kindai Maki-e technique and then protected with transparent Urushi lacquer. The result is a writing instrument of rare elegance and high everyday usability.
Crafted from a single piece of deep-drawn aluminum, this fountain pen impresses with its seamless design, light weight, and pleasantly balanced feel. The "Edazakura" models are ideally suited for everyday use as well as for special gifts.
