Kuretake Kindai Maki-e - Sakura Haru Kaze

The "Sakura Haru Kaze" (桜春風 – "Cherry Blossom in the Spring Breeze") model is entirely dedicated to the Japanese cherry blossom – a symbol of beauty, new beginnings, and the transience of the moment. The gently dancing blossoms in the spring breeze bring the feeling of Hanami to the fountain pen: lightness, joy, and the cyclical renewal of nature.

Applied using the traditional Kindai Maki-e technique and sealed with a protective Urushi-based clear lacquer, this design combines classic Japanese aesthetics with modern craftsmanship. Each piece tells a poetic story on an object that can be used in everyday life – or given as a gift.

The seamless aluminum body is created in a single casting using the so-called "Press Drawing" process and impresses with its low weight, robustness and balanced shape.
