Orient spare part – balance staff for Royal Orient (1 piece) – NOS

Original Orient Balance Staff (テン真 / Balance Staff) from unused new old stock (NOS) for the Royal Orient (ロイヤル) – Orient's luxurious top line. Offered is a single piece, taken from an original "ORIENT WATCH PARTS" bag (printed "ロイヤル / Royal"; original packaging 1 dozen / "12 PCS."), which was in an "オリエントスター (Orient Star) 部分品" box.

The balance staff is one of the central and most heavily used components of the movement: it carries the balance wheel with hairspring, and its fine pivots run in the (cap) jewels. A broken or worn balance staff is a common reason for revision – original NOS staffs are therefore particularly sought after.

About the line: Orient – one of the "big three" Japanese manufacturers alongside Seiko and Citizen – introduced the upscale Orient-Star line in 1951, and from the late 1950s, the Royal Orient as a waterproof luxury top-line with a larger, more robust 19-jewel movement (N-Type). Original, unused spare parts for these early, high-quality Orient movements are difficult to find today – relevant for watchmakers and collectors.

The part is unused; due to storage, only minor, purely cosmetic traces are possible, which do not impair function.
