Orient Star Dynamic “Nivaflex” (late 1950s)

A rare early Orient Star "Dynamic" with the legendary Nivaflex hand-wound movement, manufactured in the late 1950s, shortly after the founding of the Orient Star brand (1951). This model is one of the most important historical examples of the Japanese post-war watch industry and is considered a collector's classic for enthusiasts of early Orient models.

Historical background
The "Dynamic" line was introduced in the late 1950s as part of the high-end Orient Star series and was equipped with the Swiss Nivaflex mainspring – a technological advancement that ensured improved timekeeping stability and durability. These models emerged at a time when Orient was striving for technical independence from Swiss suppliers and establishing itself as a serious Japanese manufacturer, alongside Seiko.

State of preservation
This piece is authentic, with its original dial and hands. The fine, even patina gives the dial a warm vintage character. The stainless steel case back is clearly legible with the reference engraving "K12006T". The movement runs smoothly; however, a service is recommended with regular use.

This is a used item. The limitation period for claims based on defects (statutory warranty) is 12 months from delivery.
