Historical background

The reference PF00-C3 CS shown here comes from a limited series of 800 units and was produced for the Japanese market.
It belongs to the elegant automatic series with the reliable Orient caliber 46F7 , an in-house automatic movement with 21 jewels and classic date display.
The watch was produced as a collector's edition to celebrate the brand's anniversary and is characterized by its clear, functional dial and gold-colored engraved rotor.

The design is reminiscent of early Orient Star models from the 1960s, combined with modern materials and a display back that reveals the finely decorated movement.

Description

This limited edition Orient Star Automatic offers a classic, balanced design with clear typography and fine details: Arabic numerals, date display at 3 o'clock, blued hands and a clean dial.
In addition to the display case back through which the gold-engraved rotor can be seen, the limitation number “720 / 800” is engraved – a detail that can only be found on the limited models of the PF00 series .

The automatic movement runs reliably, and the date change works perfectly.

Collector's value and significance

The Orient Star Limited Editions from this series are rarely found on the European market, as they were originally intended exclusively for the Japanese market (JDM).
They are considered a hidden gem among collectors of Japanese manufactured watches, as they combine excellent value for money with classic aesthetics.
