Behind OUTLINEstands none other than Yoshimasa Kikuchi – publisher of Japan's leading watch magazines such as Power Watch, LowBEAT, and Time Gear. For decades, he accompanied, tested, and described the watch world – until he decided to realize his vision himself. With OUTLINE, he builds watches that breathe the spirit of the 1940s to 1960s: a homage to the golden age of mechanics, stylishly interpreted for today.
The name says it all – OUTLINEstands for clean lines, timeless style, and what defines a watch: character, history, and quality. The Outline Navy Diver is the second version of a successful crowdfunding model.
The classic 1960s diver's watch-style dial features the "M" logo, a reinterpretation of the "Movement in Motion" logo, replacing tritium with a luminous marker in the style of 1970s military watches. The rotating bezel is finished in authentic navy blue, with a deliberately aged finish for an elegant patina.
The movement is based on the Seiko Epson Caliber YN55A, a classic automatic and military-style model. The limited-edition set, including the watch and denim strap, is complemented by an original studded bracelet from the 1950s, underscoring its retro charm.
In collaboration with Kojima Jeans, an exclusive, handcrafted distressed denim braceletwas developed, limited to 500 pieces. The used-look bracelet has a unique patina and acquires a unique character through the natural fading process. The navy blue design has been optimized for high-quality aging and underscores the craftsmanship of this special accessory.
