Seiko 5 Sports 7019-6020 “Water 70m Proof” (February 1970)
This distinctive Seiko 5 Sports 7019-6020 dates from February 1970 (serial number 020xxx) and belongs to the early generation of Seiko 5 sports models, which stand for robustness, precision and sporty-technical aesthetics.
Its solid stainless steel case with the engraving “Water 70m Proof” proves that it was produced before the switch to “Water Resistant” – a highly sought-after collector's feature today.
The black dial with Arabic numerals, luminous hands and the distinctive blue "SPORTS" lettering combines functionality with typical 1970s charm.
A particular highlight is the rotating inner bezel , which is controlled via the crown and is protected under the glass – a typical technical feature of classic Japanese engineering watches of that time.

Models like the 7019-6020 combine functionality and Japanese design of the early 1970s with clean lines, technical sophistication and high everyday usability.
The "Water 70m Proof" versions were only produced until about 1970 and are now considered particularly collectible.
