This extraordinary special edition was created through a collaboration between Seiko and the internationally successful anime and manga series NARUTO & BORUTO , one of the most popular Japanese series ever.
Each watch in the series represents one of the central characters – this version honors Gaara (我愛羅) , the legendary Kazekage from Sunagakure.
Design & Symbolism
The sand-colored, textured dial symbolizes Gaara's control over sand and his desert origins.
The deep red kanji 「愛」(Ai) – love – on the dial symbolizes Gaara's inner transformation: from lone fighter to protector of his village.
The bronze-colored, matte case coating and the black-bronze bezel emphasize the rough, earthy aesthetic of the character.
The robust grey NATO strap with a red center stripe is inspired by Gaara's clothing and features an antique-colored Seiko pin buckle.
The transparent case back reveals Gaara's iconic gasket seal of the "One-Tailed Beast" Shukaku – an impressive detail for connoisseurs of the series.

Background to the cooperation
The collection, released in 2020, includes seven models of the characters Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Lee, Gaara, Boruto and Sarada .
Each design was developed in close collaboration with the anime production team to authentically capture the spirit of the characters.
The Gaara edition (SBSA093) represents Gaara's inner strength, his transformation and his ability to draw peace from pain – a leitmotif that makes this watch one of the most symbolic in the entire series.
As it was a Japan Domestic Market edition , it was not produced for export and was only available for a short time.
