Seiko Bell-Matic Ref. 4006-6050 (October 1974)

A rare and distinctive Seiko Bell-Matic automatic wristwatch with a mechanical alarm, manufactured in October 1974. This series is among the most technically sophisticated vintage models of the 1970s and was one of the first automatic wristwatches in the world with an integrated alarm mechanism.

Historical background
The Bell-Matic was introduced in 1966 and produced until the mid-1970s. It was Seiko's answer to the Swiss Memovox models by Jaeger-LeCoultre – but significantly more robust and designed for the Japanese mass market. The 4006-6050 model from the later production period is distinguished by its elegantly curved case and striking blue color scheme.

State of preservation
This particular example is in remarkably good condition. The dial shows only minimal signs of age, and the alarm functions perfectly. The case and bracelet have not been overpolished, and the watch was recently fully serviced in Japan.
