Seiko Clock Pikachu Talking Alarm Clock JF384A – Character Alarm Clock from Japan – Original Packaging

A figure alarm clock from Seiko Clock: Pikachu, sitting, with the clock face in its belly — and an alarm function that doesn't ring, but speaks. In its original packaging, sealed in the factory-applied plastic film.

The case back bears the model number JF384A.

The talking alarm clock

The oshaberi mezamashidokei, literally the "chatting alarm clock," is a distinct product category in Japan. Instead of a buzzer, an alarm is sounded by a voice — in the case of character models, by the character's original voice actor.

For children, this is the crucial difference: a ringtone gets switched off, but a familiar voice does not. Seiko Clock has cultivated this category for years, populating it with major Japanese licensed brands.

This model features Pikachu's voice. It was released exclusively for the Japanese market.

Design

The figure is a full-bodied Pikachu in a sitting posture, with its front paws tucked in, ears upright, and red cheek spots. The lightning-bolt tail on the back simultaneously serves as a cover for the speaker grille — a design solution that hides the technology within the figure.

On the front, set within a red ring, is the clock face: light blue, with large blue numerals in a child-friendly font and the POCKET MONSTERS logo in the center. The minute track features five-minute increments in orange — a clock designed to help children learn to tell time. The hands are colored red and yellow.

Condition and Origin

New item, sourced in Japan in June 2026. The clock is in its unopened factory-applied plastic film and is unused.

Please note: The marking on the base indicates that it was manufactured outside of Japan.
