Seiko Replacement Crown with Gasket for Seiko Champion – Ø 4.5 mm, Height 2.4 mm (1 Piece) – NOS
Seiko Replacement Crown with Gasket for Seiko Champion – Ø 4.5 mm, Height 2.4 mm (1 Piece) – NOS
Original Seiko replacement crown from new old stock (NOS) for the Seiko Champion. One single piece (single crown) is offered.
The crown has an internal gasket (seal ring/O-ring), making it a water-resistant crown (sealed crown). This is fitting for the Champion: its crowns were often embossed with "SW" (Seiko Waterproof) at the time, and from approx. 1963, the Champion Calendar offered water protection. The finely knurled edge ensures a secure grip when winding and setting. Silver/steel-colored (see product photo), matching the chromed or stainless steel cases of the Champion.
Model Background: The Seiko Champion was Seiko's entry-level line in the early 1960s (manual winding, initially Seikosha 54, from 1963 Seikosha 850/860, from 1964 caliber 7622) and was introduced as the successor to the Seiko "Cronos" – from which Daini also derived the high-quality King Seiko in 1961. As the Champion appeared in several case generations, different crown sizes were used; please compare the dimensions.
Dimensions: Diameter approx. 4.5 mm, height approx. 2.4 mm.
The part is unused; due to storage, minor, purely cosmetic traces are possible, which do not impair the function.
Note on assignment: Before installation, please compare the dimensions and thread/tap size (or push-on fit and axle diameter) with the required crown or winding stem.
Manufacturer: Seiko (K. Hattori & Co., Japan).
Warranty (used) This is an original part (NOS) stored for decades. The limitation period for defect claims (statutory warranty) is 12 months from delivery.
Note Before installation, please compare dimensions and fit (tube/thread or push-on fit and axle diameter); assembly should be carried out professionally by a watchmaker. Despite the existing gasket, no water resistance is guaranteed due to age - the sealing ring should be professionally checked or replaced before use near water.
