Seiko Hand-wound 2220-3530 (November 1975) – Silver dial with patina

Seiko Hand-wound 2220-3530 (November 1975) – Silver dial with patina

Rare, elegant vintage Seiko with a fine hand-wound movement and distinctive dial patina.

This Seiko hand-wound watch, Ref. 2220-3530, was produced in May 1975 (serial number 5Nxxxx). It belongs to a series of slim, finely crafted dress watches that Seiko developed exclusively for the Japanese market in the 1970s.

The silver dial was carefully cleaned after significant discoloration from age. This required removing the printed Seiko logo , resulting in a simple, modern aesthetic with an authentic patina . The surface displays a gently shifting interplay of silver and champagne tones.

The case is in very good condition and impresses with its striking geometry. The watch is fitted with a new, violet-tinted leather strap , which perfectly complements the warm vintage character of the dial while adding a modern touch.

The clock exemplifies the transition from the classic 1960s aesthetic to the clearer, more minimalist lines of the 1970s.
