Crocodile embossing, but made flat – and therein lies the difference. The thickly padded crocodile embossings of the aftermarket almost always appear too massive on a 36mm vintage watch. Seiko solves this here with a flat design and a glazed finish: the scale pattern is present, the height remains low. Dark brown with a silver-colored pin buckle – the combination that works equally well on gold-plated and steel cases.

Particularly good on 20 mm fits modern Presage and Alpinist models as well as 20 mm cases from the 1970s. Because the crocodile embossing is made flat, it does not appear overloaded even on smaller vintage cases – unlike the thickly padded crocodile straps from the aftermarket.
