Seiko Leather Strap RS15C20BN 20-18 with quick-change system 20 mm – smooth cowhide, brown (JDM)

Seiko manufactures its replacement and interchangeable straps to the same factory quality as the straps on its current models – but they are practically unavailable in Europe. This smooth cowhide strap is the most unassuming and perhaps most useful in the range: warm brown, double decorative stitching, a matte oiled finish that forgives fingerprints and signs of use. The cut edges are open and color-sealed (Kirimi style), the tip is slightly rounded.

This makes the strap suitable for almost anything: a 1970s Seiko 5 as well as a modern Presage or a simple dress watch of foreign origin.

Especially good with 20 mm is the size for current Seiko dress watches – Presage Cocktail Time, the SARB series, Alpinist SPB121 – and many 1970s automatic cases. Brown smooth leather is the classic counterpart to a steel bracelet and looks equally good on champagne and silver dials.
