Seiko Nagano 1998 Olympic Games – September 1997 - Quartz – Ref. 7N21-8A00

A Japanese Seiko with a direct connection to one of Japan's most important sporting events of the 1990s.

This Seiko was produced for the Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics.

The black dial prominently features the five Olympic rings and the Nagano emblem. This makes the watch not only a Seiko but also a historical souvenir of the Winter Games, which took place in Nagano from February 7 to 22, 1998.

Seiko and the Olympic Games

Seiko has a long connection to international sports timekeeping.

The company served as the official timekeeper at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. In the following decades, the connection between Seiko and international sporting events remained an important part of the brand's history.

Within this tradition, the Nagano watches represent a particularly Japanese event: the second Winter Olympics held in Japan after Sapporo 1972.

Design
