The setting lever spring holds the setting lever in its defined detent positions and gives the crown the noticeable switching stages between winding and hand setting. It is a small but functionally important steel part; if it wears out or breaks, the crown no longer engages cleanly – and precisely such springs are often missing in vintage Seiko movements.

The part fits the Seiko hand-wound calibers 19A, 1904A, 1920A and 1944A – all members of Seiko's 19-series women's caliber family (1960s/70s). According to the original packaging, it comes from the spare parts inventory for the Seiko women's line "Venus".

Historically interesting: With the 19 series, Seiko introduced the world's first Hi-Beat movement with 36,000 vibrations/hour (5 Hz) for women's watches in 1967. The caliber 1944A served here belongs to exactly this Hi-Beat generation and is closely related to caliber 1964A – the 19GS, the women's Grand Seiko – with which it shares numerous components. A genuine NOS spare part from this family is accordingly sought after.

Delivered in the original Seiko spare parts bag (green/white) with printed part no. 386190; enclosed is the older original Seiko box with the handwritten stock identification "Venus". The package originally contained 10 pieces; the last remaining single piece (1 piece) is offered. The part itself is unused; any signs of age only concern the packaging.
