Seiko Original Dial 4300-1190 (Quartz, Cushion Shape) – NOS
Seiko Original Dial 4300-1190 (Quartz, Cushion Shape) – NOS
Original Seiko replacement dial for the high-quality Seiko Quartz series of the early 43-family, reference 4300-1190, manufactured by Hattori Seiko Co., Ltd. in Japan. Original part (New Old Stock, NOS) in original Seiko parts box ("純正部品" / Seiko Genuine Parts) with printed part label.
The elegant cushion-shaped (rounded square) dial features a silvery-white, finely textured (frosted) finish with applied silver baton indexes. At 12 o'clock is the printed SEIKO QUARTZ logo, below which is the stylized Quartz "Q" logo from the mid-1970s. At the bottom edge is the factory designation "JAPAN 4300-1190". It is a time-only dial without a date window.
A sought-after original part for collectors, watchmakers, and restorers who wish to faithfully restore a Seiko 4300-1190 or a compatible model from the 43-Quartz family.
Background: Daini Seikosha and the King Seiko Connection
The caliber 4300 belongs to the 43-family (from 1975), a high-quality, compact quartz series from Daini Seikosha – the Seiko manufacturer that traditionally developed and produced the King Seiko line. Within Seiko, two factories competed since the 1960s: Suwa Seikosha (home of Grand Seiko) and Daini Seikosha (home of King Seiko). This internal competition first characterized the high-end mechanical lines and continued into the quartz era with Grand Quartz (Suwa) and King Quartz (Daini). The 4300 thus comes directly from the King Seiko manufacture and was a precise, high-quality movement (accuracy at the time around 20 seconds/month).
