Seiko Original Dial 4301-0010 (Quartz, Tonneau) – NOS

Original Seiko replacement dial for the high-quality Seiko Quartz series of the early 43-family, reference 4301-0010, manufactured by Hattori Seiko Co., Ltd. in Japan. Unused original part (New Old Stock, NOS) in original Seiko parts box (“純正部品" / Seiko Genuine Parts) with printed parts label.

The dial, in an elegant tonneau shape, features a silvery-white, finely textured (frosted) finish with black printed Roman numerals – a distinctly classic, subtly decorative design. At 12 o'clock is the printed SEIKO QUARTZ lettering, below which is the stylized Quartz "Q" logo from the mid-1970s. At the bottom edge is the factory designation "JAPAN 4301-0010 T". It is a time-only dial without a date window. The green "QT" marking on the box assigns it to the Quartz line.

Background: Daini Seikosha and the King Seiko Connection

Caliber 4301 belongs to the 43-family (from 1975), a high-quality, compact Quartz series from Daini Seikosha – the manufacturer that traditionally developed and produced the King Seiko line within Seiko. Since the 1960s, Seiko produced in two competing factories: Suwa Seikosha (home of Grand Seiko) and Daini Seikosha (home of King Seiko). This internal competition first characterized the top mechanical lines and then continued into the Quartz era, at the forefront of which stood Grand Quartz (Suwa) and King Quartz (Daini). The 4301 presented here thus comes directly from the King Seiko manufacture: a precise, high-quality movement (accuracy at the time around 20 seconds/month) that transfers the care of this tradition into an elegant, compact format.
