Limited Edition Automatic Watch, inspired by the rich silk tradition of Japan's Tomioka region

With the HCC008J1, Seiko expands its Presage Classic Series with an exclusive Limited Edition deeply rooted in Japanese silk tradition. The dial is inspired by Tomioka silk, a high-quality Japanese silk from the region surrounding the historic Tomioka Silk Mill in Gunma Prefecture.

The high-quality raw silk Gunma Hoso serves as the specific design model. The flowing wave pattern on the dial takes up its characteristic structure and vibrant light effect. A mother-of-pearl-like finish gives the surface additional depth and a soft, shimmering luminosity.

The stainless steel case with rose gold plating complements the warm color scheme of the dial. The dark brown cowhide strap is inspired by the brick facades of the historic Tomioka Silk Mill, creating a direct design connection to the origin of the silk.

The dark brown leather strap picks up the warm brick tones of the Tomioka Silk Mill. Together with the rose gold-colored case, a harmonious, warm overall look is created that perfectly captures the cultural inspiration of the model.

A portion of the proceeds supports the Tomioka Silk Promotion Organization, which is dedicated to preserving the local silk culture and making its special quality visible internationally.
