Seiko Presage HCB007J1 – Japanese Garden Open Heart, Rose Gold/Green

The Presage HCB007J1 from the "Japanese Garden" series translates the aesthetics of traditional Zen gardens into a mechanical watch. The dark green dial features a fine, two-part structure reminiscent of carefully raked gravel. At 9 o'clock, an open-heart aperture reveals the oscillating balance wheel – making the heart of the watch part of the design. The case, crown, Roman numerals, and hands are rose gold-toned and, together with the brown leather strap, create a warm, classic contrast to the green.

Design & Character

Depending on the lighting, the green dial appears subtle yet vibrant; the embossed surface plays with light like the gravel in a Japanese garden. The dual-curved sapphire crystal enhances the sense of depth and provides a subtle vintage feel. The screw-down see-through case back showcases the automatic caliber 4R71, which was specifically designed for open-heart dials. Thanks to quick-release spring bars, the leather strap can be changed without tools.
